Rachel Rosellini, Artistic Director
Rachel Rosellini, Artistic Director: Rachel sang with PCC all through her high school years and went on to major in music education. Now she holds her Masters in Music Education with an emphasis in Kodály from Capital University and her Bachelors in Music Education from Illinois Wesleyan University. This is her 10th year as the general music teacher for Grove Avenue and Hough elementary schools in the Barrington school district. There she teaches music to first through fifth graders as well as leads a choir at each building. Rachel also works as part of the Cutting Hall Tech Staff. She loves being a part of the Palatine Children's Chorus staff.
Nate Coon, Assistant Artistic Director/Do Re Mi & Treble Director
Nate teaches K-5 general music, 1-5 grade drama, and directs an extracurricular chorus at Cumberland Elementary in Des Plaines. Prior to his time at Cumberland, Nate taught in the Barrington School district 220 in the same role part-time for three years. Aside from PCC, Nate also sings professionally with the St. Charles Singers and the Presbyterian Church of Barrington's choir. Nate holds two Bachelor*s Degrees from Illinois State University in Music Education and Vocal Performance. He is currently working on his Master's Degree in Music Education with an emphasis in Kodály Philosophy from The Kodály Institute at Capital University, Columbus Ohio. Nate has been happily married to his wife Stephanie since August 2011. They have a son Cameron born May 2016 and have two dogs that their parents affectionately call 'grandpuppies'.
Stevee Bellas, Assistant Director, Musicianship Teacher
Stevee sang with PCC for ten years before graduating high school, and is so excited to be back, now as a staff member. Stevee earned her Bachelor's Degree in Choral Music Education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she sang with the Women's Glee Club, and Chamber Singers. She now teaches choir, show choir, and beginning guitar at Mundelein High School. Stevee is so excited to have started working with PCC during this term to help the singers focus on developing their musicianship skills, and is so impressed with the skill-level and dedication of all of the singers.
Susan Chappell, Principal Accompanist
Susan received a degree in Music and Sound Recording from DePaul University, studying piano with Dmitry Paperno. After working 15 years at Harpo Studios and on the audio crew for "The Oprah Winfrey Show," Susan is now thrilled to be studying organ and to be accompanying for St. James in Arlington Heights and PCC.
Crystalyn Snow Boyer, Assistant Accompanist, Do Re Mi/Treble Accompanist
Crystalyn Snow Boyer is a graduate of University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music with bachelor degrees in piano performance and music education. She is currently working on her master's degree in piano performance at DePaul University School of Music and teaches piano privately. She is excited to be accompanying PCC!
Kathlyn Sbarboro, Sing with Me Director
Kathlyn has earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education and a Master of Arts degree in Piano Pedagogy. She is currently Piano Facilitator for the Community Music Center at Harper College where she teaches both group and private lessons and oversees all piano performance festivals, recitals, and student placement. She also maintains a private piano studio.
Melissa Schlesinger, Managing Director
Music and Children have both played prominent roles in every facet of Melissa's life. She began her formal training studying Music Business at Western Illinois University. Raised with a father who was a high school band director, Melissa has been living and working within Music Education for her entire career. She spends her time volunteering with both children and parents. She is currently serving as the PTA President at Frank C. Whiteley School for the last three years, as well as the Girl Scout Cookie Coordinator for Service Unit 403. Melissa has also remained active within the band world working as the Guard Coach at Fremd High School and by writing and teaching the choreography for the Viking Marching Band Color Guard. Her husband, Matthew, also teaches in District 211 and is an active performer, while her two daughters, Emily and Elyse, have also both been in PCC.
Sue Love, Tour/Finance Manager
Sue earned a BA degree from Augustana College, Rock Island, IL, in accounting and business administration. Her twin daughters, Kate and Kris, joined the Chorus in 1994, and Sue began volunteering at concerts and special events, then chaperoning on our first tours. She joined the PCC staff in fall, 2001. She thanks her daughters Kris and Kate for introducing her to the Chorus family and her husband Brad for his understanding all the hours she devotes to PCC.
