CMS Innovation Center Chief Strategy Officer Gary Bacher joined PCC’s Ann Greiner on stage for a fireside chat to discuss Medicare’s ongoing and future efforts to bolster primary care.
During the conversation, Bacher emphasized that strengthening primary care remains a core goal of the Administration and CMS, pointing to the agency’s recently released strategic direction, which centers prevention.
Bacher also noted CMS is exploring how hybrid payments can be leveraged to enable primary care practices can build out the infrastructure and teams they need to deliver care.
Finally, Bacher reiterated that the Administration hopes to continue engaging with the primary care community, encouraging attendees to submit comments and feedback as the Administration’s work continues.
