On October 16, amid an ongoing federal shutdown, the PCC joined more than 150 organizations on a Families USA-led sign-on letter urging Congress to “extend the enhancements to premium tax credits without delay changes that could place health coverage out of reach for millions of vulnerable Americans.”
Absent further action, roughly four million fewer Americans next year will have the health coverage – key for primary care access and prevention and management of chronic physical and mental disease.
