To support those efforts, PCC collects across multiple platforms. The Privacy Policies and Terms of Service laid out below explains how PCC uses the data it collects from users who visit PCC’s website(s), registers for or attends a PCC webinar or event, or subscribe to PCC’s mailing list.

How the PCC uses Website Data

The PCC uses cookies, pixel trackers, and other online tools to track your behavior on this site (https://thepcc.org) and related sites. This data can potentially be used to identify a user’s activity on the website and interaction with our marketing emails for this event. The PCC uses this information for benchmarking purposes and to identify relevant and useful content for its audience.

How the PCC Uses Data from Webinars

When a user registers for a webinar, the PCC collects basic contact information including:

  • Name
  • Title
  • Organization
  • Email

This data is used to keep registrants and attendees up to date about the webinar and to benchmark performance. The PCC also may share this information with partner organizations and webinar panelists who helped organize the webinar. Partners are only permitted to use this data for personal outreach related to the webinar topic and are prohibited from using this contact information for mass marketing.

The PCC will also provide users the option to opt in to the PCC’s email interest list.

Users who opt in will be added to the PCC’s email list and may receive emails about: upcoming events or webinars; major accomplishments from the the PCC; major policy or advocacy pushes; the release of new deliverables; or other work tied to the PCC’s efforts to strengthen primary care.

For more information about how the PCC manages the data of users on its email interest list, please see the entry on the PCC’s email interest list below.

Users who register but do not opt in to the marketing will not receive any additional emails from the PCC, unless they have signed up for the mailing list through other channels.

As part of measuring the performance of its webinars, the PCC also tracks which registrants log on to the webinar and the duration for which they logged onto the webinar. This data is used to benchmark performance only.

When a user registers for a PCC event, the PCC collects basic contact information including:

  • Name
  • Title
  • Organization
  • Email
  • Phone Number

This data is used to keep registrants and attendees up to date about the event and to track attendance.

The PCC also may share this information with partner organizations who helped organize the event and panelists or speakers who participated in the event. How the PCC Manages Its Email Interest List

Users can sign up for the PCC’s email list to receive updates about the PCC’s efforts to strengthen primary care.

As part of the opt-in process, the PCC will ask users about their subscriber preferences. These preferences help guide the PCC’s marketing efforts, but the PCC may still contact users about other major updates outside their preferred email.

Users can update their subscriber preferences at any time by clicking the “update my preferences” link present at the bottom of every email. Users can also remove themselves entirely from the list at any time by using the “unsubscribe” link present on every email. Users who have previously unsubscribed can resubscribe at any time.

The PCC does not share or sell the contact information of those who subscribe to its contact list. However, the PCC may share content from partners on our email list, including potential sponsor content.
