Dr. Rebecca Anastos-Wallen is a Primary Care Physician and Chief Clinical Officer at Oak Street Health, a leading value-based primary care organization for adults on Medicare that operates over 200 primary care clinics in 26 states. In her role as Chief Clinical Officer, Dr. Anastos-Wallen is the clinical lead overseeing the design and implementation of Oak Street Health’s value based care model.
Her scope includes Oak Street Health’s national work related to screening and diagnosis, chronic condition management, high risk patient management, specialty care and partnerships, and prevention of avoidable hospital admissions and readmissions. Dr. Anastos-Wallen also leads Oak Street Health’s Central Telehealth and Podiatry clinicians, as well as the operational team responsible for complex care, transitions of care, and medical cost management. She serves as a PCP for a panel of Oak Street patients in West Philadelphia.
Dr. Anastos-Wallen completed her residency in Primary Care Internal Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital. She holds an MD from the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor’s degree in History from Yale University. Prior to medical school, Dr. Anastos-Wallen worked as a management consultant at the Boston Consulting Group for 5 years with a focus on global health.
